Patrick graudated with a BFA from Tyler School of Art, Temple University in January, 2009. Tyler is now located at Temple's main campus in North Philadelphia. Patrick's graduating class of January 2009 was the last lass to complete their degree's at the Elkins Park campus.
Patrick's parents, Robert J. Seufert, nationally recognized oil painter and Alice Olson Seufert are both professional artists and alumni of Tyler. They have had a strong influence on him and have contributed greatly to his art education. Rober and Alice have maintained a business teaching art and producing paintings in their own studio for over 30 years. (www.seufertart.com)
He also feels very fortunate to have had accomplished professional artists as teachers. At the top of this list is Professor Charles Schmidt of Tyler, who was his primary mentor when learning the elements and principles of color, the human figure, and oil painting.
As far as subject matter for his oils, Patrick focuses on common architectural specs ranging from urban to rural or from industrial to residential. He often incorporates a graphic style rich in contrasting vibrant colors in order to draw the viewer into the painting. He typically uses his own photographs as a reference when creating his original paintings. Patrick believes this is the best way to capture what he wants in a painting while at the same time using his owne intuition to make an necessary alterations including color and composition.
Besides painting oils, Patrick also enjoys producing illustrations. His former teacher at Tyler and recognized illustrator Jon Krause has been instrumental in his development as an illustrator. Patrick has developed a style of paper cut outs while still allowing for detailed renderings in watercolor, ink, and colored pencil. He almost always tries to incorporate humor in his illustrations because he finds it the best way to project his ideas while also showing a different side to his personality.

October 2009, first review from the 'Bucks County Courier Times' for painting 'Northeast Spectrum' which was accepted to the 80th annual Phillips Mill show.
The review was written by Gwen Shrift and goes as follows : "Patrick Seufert turned his back on the rural views to paint 'Northeast Spectrum,' the backside of an industrial complex. There's poetry in the almost photo-realistically painted square and angled buildings, the clear, hard blue sky, the snow on the parking lot and a row of nondescript cars huddled by a factory wall."

September 2011, second review from The Philadelphia Inquirer for Artists’ House Gallery September exhibit.
The review was written by Victoria Donohoe, she writes:
“Each shows a deep receptivity to the urban landscape, yet manages not to end up with a reportorial look. Lack of ostentation helps – Seufert in his compelling, hyperrealistic views of factories, bridges, parking lots, and Tacony housing… Their presentations indicate that at the very least they have found a style, a promising direction and primary concern."
